This weekend we had an early Easter get together with some of our closest friends.
After our party I learned several dos and dont’s for our next Easter Party. Here they are…
Decorations
We went pretty simple with decorations this year and just put together a kids table for them to sit and eat.

Each place setting had a plate, cookie, and bowl of “bunny bait” trail mix!

These centerpieces were probably my favorite decoration and I got all the findings at the dollar store! All you need is a:
Glass vase
Peeps
Flowers
Ribbon

Activities:
We had kiddos ages 1-8 here so we kept the activities pretty simple. The most fun and easiest thing to set up at any outdoor party is a bubble station.

We set up several Bubble wands for individual play and then got a large bubble machine that would fill the entire backyard with bubbles! It was a big hit as always.
One of my other favorite low prep activities that is always a hit at parties is a cupcake decorating station! All I had to do was prepare cupcakes and the kids do the decorating. It’s an activity for them, they get to explore their creativity AND I don’t have to take the time to decorate them. It’s a win win for everyone.

We bought a small bounce house that we set up at home for parties now. This one is very small. It only holds up to 4 kids at a time. But worked well for our small get together!

This one is similar and comes with several things you need like a tarp, stakes and the blower!
The only other planned activity I had for the kids this time was the egg hunt!
We provided these bags for everyone so the parents didn’t have to worry about having an Easter basket for the party.
They aren’t huge bags which worked out well… once their bag was full they just knew they had gotten enough eggs.

Something I didn’t have time to do but wish I had… was make a toddler area for the Easter egg hunt. These eggs would be filled with items the younger kiddos can’t choke on like cheerios, goldfish, etc.
But if you are short on time like I was… prefilled eggs for the older kids was a huge time saver!

Food:
We kept food simple this year with lots of finger foods the kids could eat while outside!

Pillsbury Carrot filled with chicken salad, Peep Rice Krispy Treats, Easter themed charcuterie dessert board, chips, fruit tray shaped like a bunny and sliders.
Party Favors:
The last thing you need for a successful kids Easter party are party favors!

This year we sent each kid home with a small cardboard box filled with a sunflower! 🌻 Inside the box is a small pot filled with potting soil and a sunflower seed.
What a fun way to welcome spring!

What other things can we do to throw a great kids Easter party next year??
