Supplies:
-Little people nativity
14. Letters to Santa

This is a great activity to practice handwriting, spelling names and learning our address! Honestly, for my 5 year old we are just writing our name and learning our address and mommy 3 year old will literally just love putting the letters in the mailbox.
15. Academic Christmas Learning

We have loved both of these activities I found on teachers pay teachers this season! The activity to the left is rhyming Christmas words. Vincent is still struggling with rhyming so we added this visual to see if it aids with that. You simply print, laminate and add Velcro dots to the back.
The activity to the right is a speech activity that I also found on teachers pay teachers. This works on building sentences. There was both visuals and words to print off, I chose to just stick with visuals to see how we do this week.
16. Christmas Themed Sand Tray

Vincent has loved using the sand tray to practice writing his letters and numbers. What a fun sensory activity!
Supplies:
-Sand tray (I found this at the hot spot at target but you could actually grab sand and a wooden tray at your local dollar store if this isn’t in season at target!)
-Christmas tags (We used these to write numbers on to practice writing. There are a million ways to do this. We just had some extra and wanted a Christmas theme!)
17. Floor is Lava

Vincent LOVES a YouTube channel called the floor is lava. It’s all about these kids who are playing in a fort and all of a sudden the floor turns to lava, they have to go to different colors in the room to be “safe.” We started playing this at home and he loved it! A few weeks ago we added sight words and he ate it up. So this week we made our sight words Christmas themed!
Check out our tiktok asdmama1017 to see how our floor is lava game went!
Supplies:
-construction paper
-sight words strips
-I found these colored sleeves at target hot spot several months ago! They work GREAT! But literally a piece of construction paper would work great.
18. Kindness Mailbox

Again I found some tags pretty cheap, wrote some “good deeds” on theme and threw them in this dollar tree mailbox. Everyday we open up the mailbox and draw one. Sometimes, it’s an activity we do right away but typically we set it aside and plan it for the evening.
Some of my ideas include finding presents for family members, drawing pictures for grandparents, baking cookies for neighbors and some of them literally say “clean up your toys.” You can adjust to your children’s age and ability but we will definitely bring this back year after year! It helps remind our children the real meaning of the season.
Supplies:
-Dollar tree mailbox
-Gift Tags
19. Cookie Jar

This activity allows us to work on colors and fine motor skills. This activity is geared more towards my 3 year old who is still working on colors.
Supplies:
-Dollar Tree “Cookie Shop Box”
-Cookies (I used the cookies from our Cookie Monster toy but again you could use construction paper or whatever you have around the house).
20. Christmas Tree Ornaments

So many ornaments, so little time. There are so many skills you can work on with Christmas ornaments! Fine motor skills, patterns, colors, hand eye coordination, letters, numbers, the list goes on.
Supplies for Candy Cane:
-Pipe cleaner
-Red and white beads
-Bell if wanted
Supplies for snow globe:
-Jar ornament found at dollar tree
-Fillers like pom poms and stickers all came from dollar tree too
